RESEARCH ANALYST
We’ve been proudly cloud-based and work-from-home since 2010, in the online education industry since 2006, and consider ourselves to be pioneers in our industry. Our primary focus is academic consulting for doctoral-level clients, and due to growth in our sector, we are looking for teammates to join us for the long term. This is a fully remote, highly flexible position. Many of our research analysts also work as adjunct professors and appreciate the flexibility the position offers for family, travel, or creative endeavors.
Your main responsibility will be to support our clients in their dissertation processes. This may include:
- Content changes – Making changes to pre-existing work based on the comments of the client’s dissertation committee.
- Topic selection – Finding research gaps in academic literature, creating a valid problem statement, justifying the purpose for the study, and selecting an underlying Theoretical or Conceptual Framework to guide the study.
- Expansions – Taking a preliminary piece of the client’s work, and expanding it into complete chapters.
- Methodological Development – Choosing the optimal qualitative methodology to use for a particular study, such as Grounded Theory, Content Analysis, or Phenomenology.
- Literature Reviews – Finding and reviewing relevant recent literature, creating an outline and Annotated Bibliography for a literature review, and drafting the review based on the articles and outline.
- Multi-part Projects – projects that involve elements of all of the above, and/or involve assisting our clients in correcting errors made in the above areas of their dissertation.
It is very important for all applicants to the research analyst position to be comfortable with researching academic literature via online databases such as Google Scholar or ERIC. This particular requirement is extremely important, perhaps even more so than the other requirements.

QUALITATIVE ANALYST

Our primary focus is academic consulting for doctoral-level clients, and due to growth in our sector, we are looking for teammates to join us for the long term. This is a fully remote, highly flexible position. Many of our qualitative analysts also work as adjunct professors and appreciate the flexibility the position offers for family, travel, or creative endeavors.
The main responsibility will be to support our clients in their dissertation processes, specifically regarding their qualitative methodologies and analyses:
- Methodological development – Choosing the optimal qualitative methodology to use for a particular study design, such as grounded theory, case study, or phenomenology.
- Qualitative Analysis – Coding qualitative data such as interviews or focus group transcripts, conducting the analysis using qualitative analysis software, and interpreting the results.
We do not provide training or software necessary for the qualitative analyst position. The applicant should be familiar with either NVivo, MAXQDA, or ATLAS.ti, though preferably all 3, as well as have a working full copy of the software.

Statistician
We’ve been proudly cloud-based and work-from-home since 2010, in the online education industry since 2006, and consider ourselves to be pioneers in our industry. Our primary focus is academic consulting for doctoral-level clients, and due to growth in our sector, we are looking for teammates to join us for the long term. This is a fully remote, highly flexible position. Many of our statisticians also work as adjunct professors and appreciate the flexibility the position offers for family, travel, or creative endeavors.
The main responsibility will be to support our clients with larger, more complex statistical analyses.
All applicants will need to be comfortable designing and drafting a valid statistical methodology (specifying the sample, population, instrumentation, data collection and analysis procedures, etc.), running the analyses using standard stats packages, and drafting and interpreting the results.
All deliverables need to be in a presentable, professional format. Applicants must have a strong applied mathematics or statistics background; proficiency in applied statistics and hypothesis testing is required. Applicants must be familiar with SPSS and preferably also with R, SAS and/or STATA.
We do not provide training for this position, and as such, any applicant should have high-level statistical consulting experience in a professional environment.

- All statisticians must have or be actively pursuing graduate degrees in statistics, applied math, data analytics, or a similar field as well as relevant experience.

EDITOR
We’ve been proudly cloud-based and work-from-home since 2010, in the online education industry since 2006, and consider ourselves to be pioneers in our industry. Our primary focus is academic consulting for doctoral-level clients, and due to growth in our sector, we are looking for teammates to join us for the long term. This is a fully remote, highly flexible position. Many of our editors also work as adjunct professors and appreciate the flexibility the position offers for family, travel, or creative endeavors.
Editors will be editing primarily in APA 7 style, for our academic clients, as well as internal documents.
All applicants will need to be extremely comfortable in APA 7, and have extensive experience editing in their previous academic or professional careers. Comfort with other formatting styles such as Harvard, Chicago, MLA, or Turabian are useful but not required.
All deliverables need to be in a presentable, professional format, and editors must be completely comfortable with reference formatting, front matter, etc.
We do not provide training for this position, and as such, any applicant should already be fully versed in the editing process.

PROJECT MANAGER
We’ve been proudly cloud-based and work-from-home since 2010, in the online education industry since 2006, and consider ourselves to be pioneers in our industry. Due to growth in our sector, we are looking for teammates to join us for the long term. This is a fully remote position after an initial 3 week long paid training session in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entirety of this job will be handling phone and email communications with existing and potential clients of the company in terms of managing existing projects, developing new projects, and reviewing and delivering completed work.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a meticulous nature and an extremely high attention to detail.
- Excellent command of the English Language. Native English speaker.
- We accept applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, however, nearly all of our consultants have a masters, PhD, or similar graduate degrees.
- The Project manager position is ideal for someone who loves academic research, has an advanced degree, and wishes that he or she could be surrounded by academia 24/7/365 and spend an entire lifetime in grad school.
- All applicants must pass an unpaid assessment, which is very extensive, that tests the ability to review work deliverables in comparison to assignment details, to respond properly to client requests and concerns, and to speak to clients properly by phone.
- Knowledge and background in academic research, including the ability to speak at a professional level with clients and explain our service offerings and how it would help them with their work.
- The position has very high hour requirements for the first 6 months as a new project manager gets acclimated to the position – over 60 hours per week is normal in this phase. After being fully up-to-speed with the position, product, and responsibilities, the hourly work required should settle into the 55-60 hours per week range, with occasional times of greater workload due to seasonality or changes in team composition.
- Due to the global nature of our client base, and the timely nature of their requests, this gig requires some availability at nighttime, as well as a 5-6 hour commitment on each weekend.
