Jonathan is the Chief Executive Officer of Precision Consulting. He completed his degree in management at Purdue University, where his analytical mind was drawn to the competitive field of poker in his free time. After graduating from Purdue a semester early, what started out as a hobby eventually turned into a career as a professional high-stakes poker player. His expertise in this area culminated in financial freedom that allowed him to travel the world and pursue his interests. Among these included coming back to his propensity for statistical analysis and research. Now as the Chief Executive Officer he focuses his attention on guiding our team of experts through the completion of large scale research projects for our corporate clientele.
Ryan is the Chief Operating Officer of Precision Consulting and our resident linguist. His research involves the mechanisms that underlie language change and has published papers on the emergence of new grammars in French, Hungarian, and the Kwa languages of West Africa. Ryan is a Baltimore native, but possesses an international education having received his bachelors in applied linguistics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, masters in neurolinguistics from University College London, and is a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam.
Szamor was born in the U.K. but has grown up in the United States and adventured around the world. His interests have immersed him in cultures from Thailand to Turkey, and many places in between. Szamor is knowledgeable about a broad array of subjects as a result of the lifelong passion for learning that has led him to earn degrees in digital cinematography, philosophy, and communication studies and to study technical fields including solar photovoltaicengineering and computer science.
His zeal for adventure has also led him to professional work as a cinematographer, writer, model, actor, and martial artist. When asked why he chose to devote himself to becoming an academic consultant, he simply replied, “The team helps people achieve a once-in-a-lifetime dream, and I want to be a part of that. Plus, I learn new things every day.”
Leilani is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology, forensic psychology, and health psychology. As an avid researcher, Leilani has presented and published numerous works in the field of trauma,resilience, and severe mental illness. She has overseen the completion of countless research projects in both the academic and business realm, and enjoys seeing projects through to publication.
With an interest in psychological testing, Precision benefits from Leilani’s investigative interpersonal style with which she guides both novice and experienced researchers through their work. She is interpersonally gifted and committed to the success of others!
Maxwell is the Chief Analytics Officer for Precision Consulting. He oversees a team of more than 30 analysts with diverse expertise in statistics, econometrics, and applied mathematics. Prior to joining Precision, Maxwell completed his BSc and MSc in econometrics from the Universita Bocconi in Milan, Italy before returning there as a professor of mathematics and theoretical statistics after doing his doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge. He is the co-founder of a hedge fund specializing in arbitrage trading strategies, and his primary research interest is in designing, testing and implementing automated trading systems.
Britney is Precision’s Chief Administrative Officer and helps to ensure the company is running smoothly behind the scenes! Serving alongside our diverse team to ensure the administrative and accounting department operate seamlessly, Britney is someone who genuinely enjoys helping others. After having moved to our headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, Britney has grown to love the outdoor desert environment and wildlife. She has ventured the nearby mountain ranges and gone on many adventures with her family throughout the desert valley!
Zach is an anthropologist, archaeologist, and historian with an MA in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies from the University of Iceland (Háskóli Íslands) and Aarhus Universitet. His thesis ‘Fish, Oats, & Isotopes’ provided an overview of stable isotopic research on human diet in Medieval Scandinavia c. 1050-1550 CE and he has two manuscripts in review for publication. As a career academic and researcher, he has worked in some of the top research departments in the country including the Interdisciplinary Biological Sciences (IBiS) program at Northwestern University and the Non-vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory (NPL) at the University of Texas at Austin.
From Classical Period Maya in Belize to Late Medieval monasteries in Denmark, Zach has worked on archaeological sites across the globe and has contributed to massively successful university research projects including the Program for Belize Archaeological Project (PfBAP) and the Aarhus University network for Science and Technology in Archaeological Research (AU STAR) program.
Leighann is an expert in public health and health systems within the context of international development. She has worked for over 9 years in improving health systems in low- and-middle income countries and is a public health lecturer in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After 5 years in the public health space, Leighann expanded her research focus to include open data, open science, and open innovation due to her interest in improving the pace of research advancement and the implementations of novel findings.
Leighann has a passion for both qualitative and quantitative data analysis and continues as an active researcher. She enjoys sharing this interest in research methodology with clients in supporting them with their research design and topic development. Leighann is a current PhD candidate and holds a Master of Arts in International Relations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, and traveling to lesser-known destinations.
Todd is a narrative historian, firmly in the qualitative camp, with a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. As a freelance public historian/writer, he has served as an academic consultant for several successful doctoral dissertations at Howard and Temple universities and as a historical consultant for professional writers and historians.
A former newspaper reporter, Todd has taught at Howard and Morgan State universities. He is a lifelong student of the history of 20th century American media and 20th century Black American media. He is the co-author with Herb Boyd of Civil Rights: Yesterday and Today and the sole author of Warrior Princess: A People’s Biography of Ida B. Wells, and Marvel’s Black Panther: A Comic Book Biography, From Stan Lee to Ta-Nehisi Coates.
Moein Heidari is the Director of Quantitative Analysis and Statistical Research at Precision Consulting. Based in the UK, Moein leverages his expertise in quantitative and statistical analysis to oversee and support our clients using a wide range of tools including R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, and Mplus.
Moein’s understanding of research design makes him something of a statistical super-hero since he has had an illustrious career in academia having ranked fourth among over 4000 applicants in the entrance exam for obtaining his Master of Science in Statistics and first in a nationwide statistical competition.
Aaron Houston is the Director of Data Analytics at Precision Consulting. He is a health scientist with a particular interest in environmental science. He has attended Howard University and Temple University for his advanced degrees in biology and epidemiology. He has worked for various organizations, including the CDC in the Division of Adolescent and School Health, and he has coauthored numerous scientific publications.
Aaron loves to travel and he has visited 6 of the 7 continents (not Antartica). He continues to travel the world to teach and learn other’s culture and traditions. His work has been praised by the American Public Health Association as well as awarded!
Aaron aspires to bridge the gap between educational research and excellent practice on the ground!
Grace completed her degree in English language literature with a concentration in professional writing at Fitchburg State University. She has previously worked as an editor for a global academic publisher, for a children’s book press, and for businesses across a wide variety of industries.
Catherine is an anthropologist with an MA in biological anthropology from North Carolina State University. Her paleoanthropological thesis, “Periodontitis and Dental Caries in Post-Medieval London”, examined the relationships between dental diseases and biological sex, age, and social economic status in a period where sugar was becoming increasingly common for consumption. As a career academic with a deep interest in forensic anthropology, she has volunteered at the University of Tennessee’s Forensic Anthropology Center (more commonly known as the Body Farm). Her other academic interests include zooarchaeology and researching the connection between the cultural aspects of a society and how they relate to diseases found in archaeological skeletons.
Catherine also has an interest in learning more about her own ancestors and their lives through archival records. This led to her working as an enumerator for the 2020 census, meeting a wide range of people and educating them on the importance of the census count and the information it provides for future generations.
Samantha completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in anthropology with a focus in forensic anthropology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Previously she has worked as lead investigator in forensic analyses of human remains. She has also worked as an archaeologist and laboratory director in Central America for several years. As a result, she is versed in qualitative methodologies that overlap various fields. In her spare time, she works as a textile artist and creates large scale abstract weavings!
Graham is an academic research consultant with eight years of professional experience. He earned his undergraduate degree at Washington State University, where he was one of five recipients of a university-wide prize for independent student research based on his work in psychology and motor control. He received his graduate degree from the University of Idaho, where his research on cognitive skills training earned him a position with the United States Army’s Center for Enhanced Performance to study methods to enhance the psychological and physical performance of soldiers.
He and his team published novel research that led to the Army’s integration of cognitive skills into its training approach. Since then, Graham has enjoyed a fruitful career as an independent research contractor, where he has helped clients with a diverse range of research developmental needs. He is also an avid golfer, skier, kayaker, and traveler, and is the proud owner of Bennie, one of the world’s cutest puppies.
Rebecca was trained in qualitative methods in the University of North Carolina system and at Arizona State University. While receiving this training, she had the opportunity to work under scholars who “wrote the book” on qualitative analysis. In her years of experience in assisting corporate and academic clients with their research and analysis needs, she has worked on dozens of successful qualitative research projects. Her expertise extends to all the major qualitative research methods.
Clayton says his education makes him a mathematician and ancient historian, while his family association makes him a writer and editor. He has studied subjects from neurosurgery to business leadership to rock physics, all of it from a little Ohio farm in the middle of nowhere. Clayton is something of a Renaissance man whose true expertise is in learning and engaging with the new and unfamiliar rather than in any specific field.
Brad graduated with distinction from Occidental College, with an emphasis on political theory and philosophy. Since then, he has worked in both the private and public sectors, focusing on writing and research. He also has a master’s in public administration from Cal Poly Pomona, where he focused on crisis management and leadership. Well versed in research and analysis, Brad has a passion for research, theory, and philosophy, while still finding time to enjoy movies, reading, and hiking. He currently resides in Southern California with his wonderful wife and a dog that is probably too smart for her own good.
Kate joined Precision Consulting while completing her doctoral degree in the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received her Master’s degree from JHSPH in Social and Behavioral Interventions, which introduced her to a broad range of qualitative research methods. In her own research, Kate focuses on developing interventions to improve mental health and quality of life for older adults. Outside of her work for Precision, Kate loves playing volleyball, cooking, and running with her dog!
Winton is known as the “Cybersecurity Guy” at Precision and a Bay Area native who attended the University of California, Irvine with a mission to expand his knowledge in the field of tech and crime one step at a time. After graduating with a B.A. in Criminology, he found his way to Precision Consulting as a Project and Sales Manager in pursuit of a challenging and fast-paced opportunity. He continued his endeavor to become a professional in the tech space as he became an information technology auditor and analyst for major companies, broadening his expertise and perspective of cybersecurity, only to bring it all back to Precision where he fixes anything that breaks, spearheading our security program. He continues his journey today as a Masters student in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance to further deepen and broaden his knowledge of the ever-growing industry.
As a lifelong learner, he has found himself gaining skills in other facets of life as well, working as a certified personal trainer at Equinox in SoHo, NY, barber, DJ, and mixologist. His commitment to helping his clients and becoming a jack of all trades has allowed him to combine his passions and professions, finding his own “ikigai,” or purpose for living.
Lorrie graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a research assistant for one professor who then became her thesis mentor and co-author in a published study. In the clinical field, Lorrie completed her internship in a psych ward where she acquired proficiency in writing psychosocial profiles. She applied this skill writing psychological reports for court hearings of annulment cases. In the industrial setting, Lorrie was a valued member of an HR team, dealing with all sorts of employees from clerks to executives. She performs a variety of functions at Precision including qualitative analysis, recruitment, and employee relations!
Rachel is a self-proclaimed geek and logophile with a degree in psychology. Her love for words and language has led her from the fields of early childhood education and human resources to academic writing. Her research interests are in education, human behavior, and basically anything involving the human mind. A peek into Rachel’s own mind would show you comics, music, anime, and a general love for Japanese culture and language. Rachel’s comfort zone could easily be described as a private karaoke room with her friends all in superhero cosplay.
Alexandra joined Precision Consulting while completing her doctorate degree in Geography at Oregon State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Middle Eastern Studies and master’s degree in International Relations, so she has a broad background in both the natural and social sciences. Her research interests center broadly on water management and politics, and she hopes one day to help solve some of the world’s water problems! Alexandra grew up in sunny Phoenix, Arizona and loves spending time outside, reading, and travelling!
After starting in literature with a focus in medieval literature and studying Anglo-Saxon and English, Anne switched her field to sociolinguistics and teaching English as a second language (TESL). After obtaining her master’s she has been shoring up her skills and knowledge to pursue a master’s in biology on a path toward a PhD because her research interests shifted to neurobiology and the sciences.
Because of her solid background in English grammar and teaching composition, she applies high-level writing skills to engage with content in multiple academic fields. She specializes in rooting out missing references online and organizing literature reviews, but applies her writing skills in many situations to help people tighten up their language and get ready for the next stages of their work!
Chuck is the friendliest toy poodle in the world and loves to greet our visitors and brighten up the team’s day!
